I am very active on Twitter. It provides a great window into our classroom for parents and community members! My Twitter account is @MsSauchak
I love having parent volunteers in to help during Reader's Workshop and Math Workshop. I also invite parents to sign up to be mystery readers, copy/cut/laminate, chaperone field trips, organize classroom celebrations, and share their careers.
I send an electronic newsletter every Friday, which I create using Smore. My newsletters summarize our learning goals for each subject area and important reminders.
Parents have the option to receive text message reminders. I send important reminders to parents/guardians via the Remind 101 app, which sends alerts directly to parents' phones.
Seesaw is still something I am learning myself, but I am in the process of launching student portfolios for each student to further engage parents!
Front Cover of the B.E.E. Binder! Each student has a B.E.E. Binder (Bring Everything Everyday) that travels between home and school each day. Student work and information is communicated through this binder, as are resources for parents and nightly reading books.

Student-led curriculum night allows students to take ownership of their learning and teach their parents about our classroom community!
I love sending positive notes home/making phone calls to students/parents!
